Growth

I prefer responsible growth.  This is growth that respects residents, community values, the environment, and end users.  New residential developments must have adequate parking, appropriate building heights, parks and walking trails.  Commercial and industrial developments must be compatible with the rural nature of township.  Ecological, transportational and land use must become part of the decision process to minimize the impact on farmland and the entire community.  Parking in a downtown core is important for maintaining a healthy active downtown.  In larger cities the downtown is supported by the residents living close by so parking is less of an issue.  In small towns and hamlets there is not the concentration of the people to support the businesses so parking in the business core is important.
